Measles Vaccines Kill More People than Measles, CDC

Measles Vaccines Kill More People than Measles, CDC Data Proves (Source Natural News) Parents concerned about their vaccinated children potentially contracting measles from unvaccinated children may want to consider the fact that the bigger health threat is technically the vaccine, not the disease itself. Comparative data provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) reveal that nobody has died from measles in more than 10 years, while at least 108 deaths reported in VAERS during the same time frame have been linked to measles vaccines. Many of our older readers probably remember a time when measles wasn’t viewed with the obscene level of paranoid hysterics being witnessed today. Like chickenpox, measles was a common childhood infection that, after running its typically mild course, imparted lifelong immunity in those who contracted it. The risk of serious complications or death from measles has always been overwhelmingly minimal, in other words, with previous generations viewing it as something of a rite of passage. Fast forward to today and all rationality and common sense has gone out the window on this issue. The media is reporting a few isolated cases of measles as if it were the black plague, calling for those who don’t vaccinate their children to be ostracized from their communities or even jailed for “putting others at unnecessary risk.” But where are the facts in all this unsubstantiated mania, which unfairly tags the unvaccinated as dangerous lepers? Once again, the media is discarding factual reporting in favor of mindless sensationalism, attributing an alleged measles resurgence — even this claim is specious — to the unvaccinated. Whether or not this claim is actually true pales in importance compared to the fact that measles really isn’t much of a threat in the first place. The measles vaccine, on the other hand, is a whole different story. “There have been no measles deaths reported in the U.S. since 2003,” the Associate Press reported based off statements made by Dr. Anne Schuchat, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. Meanwhile, VAERS, which captures only a very small percentage of the actual number of injuries and deaths associated with measles vaccines, reports at least 108 deaths associated with measles vaccines since 2003. Of these, a shocking 96 deaths were reported in conjunction with MMR, which is now the preferred vaccine for measles immunization. Measles deaths were virtually nonexistent prior to introduction of vaccine, which is now triggering outbreaks. Some will try to argue that measles deaths are essentially nonexistent now because of measles vaccines, the first of which was introduced in 1963. But this argument holds no water — U.S. measles mortality data shows that deaths from measles rapidly declined in the years leading up to when the first vaccine was introduced, validating the success of improved sanitation and better nutrition in making measles a non-problem.

No more vaccination waivers

No more vaccination waivers – California lawmakers (Source RT) New legislation proposed in the California Senate would outlaw waivers that allow parents to exempt their children from receiving basic vaccinations for religious or personal reasons. The bill is a response to the latest measles outbreak in the state. The bill, announced Wednesday, would require all children to receive vaccinations prior to attending public school in the state. The proposal allows for exemptions only in cases where a preexisting medical condition would prevent a vaccination. Schools, meanwhile, would have to make their vaccination rates public. So far this year, at least 102 people across 14 different US states have contracted measles and are considered extremely contagious, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Most of the cases this year are linked to several dozen non-vaccinated people exposed to measles at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Merkel and Hollande’s surprise Moscow visit raises hopes of Ukraine deal

Merkel and Hollande’s surprise Moscow visit raises hopes of Ukraine deal (Source theguardian.com)

The leaders of Germany and France abruptly announced a summit with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in Moscow on Friday in response to overtures from the Kremlin, raising hopes of a breakthrough in the year-old Ukraine conflict. The sudden and unusual decision by the chancellor, Angela Merkel, and the president, François Hollande, to travel to Moscow, with the French leader talking of decisions of war and peace, increased the stakes in the crisis while also raising suspicions that the Kremlin was seeking to split Europe and the US. Putin was said to have made “initiatives” to the European leaders in recent days. Merkel and Hollande met the Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, in Kiev on Thursday evening but left without making any comment. Ukraine’s foreign minister, Pavlo Klimkin, said on Twitter that the leaders had discussed “steps so that the Minsk agreement can start working”. A ceasefire signed in Minsk in September froze the frontlines at their positions at the time, but never held. Friday’s visit will be Merkel’s first trip to Russia since the outbreak of violence in eastern Ukraine, which has now cost more than 5,000 lives. EU diplomats and officials said that growing US talk of arming Ukraine was pushing the Russians and Europeans towards a diplomatic deal, with both sides keen to avoid weapons deliveries but also to keep the US on the sidelines of the diplomacy.

Russia warns US arms to Ukraine will cause ‘colossal damage to ties

Russia warns US arms to Ukraine will cause ‘colossal damage’ to ties (Source AFP) Russia on Thursday warned the United States against sending weapons to Ukraine, saying such action would cause “colossal damage” to ties between the former Cold War foes. Moscow is “seriously concerned” by discussions in the West about possible arms supplies to Ukraine which is battling a pro-Kremlin insurgency, said foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich. “Without a doubt, if such a decision is realised, it will cause colossal damage to US-Russian relations, especially if the residents of Donbass (Donetsk and Lugansk regions) start to be killed by American weapons,” Lukashevich said. “This would not only threaten to escalate the situation in the southeast of Ukraine, but threatens the security of Russia, whose territory has been repeatedly shelled from Ukraine.” The West has repeatedly accused Moscow of fuelling the insurgency in eastern Ukraine — where more than 5,000 people have been killed since last April — with weapons and regular army units, but Russia denies any involvement.

The Munich Security Conference:

The Munich Security Conference: Hindering European Security (Source globalresearch.ca)

By the next annual session of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Feb. 6-8, 2015, its chairman Wolfgang Ischinger has issued a new Munich Security Report “Collapsing Order, Reluctant Guardians,” which aims to initiate a substantial expert discussion before and during the conference itself, as well as to encourage the search for mutually acceptable solutions in the constructive exchange of views. The report examines the key issues confronting today’s international and regional security policy, which are in urgent need of balanced and constructive solutions, with a spotlight on the policies of the US, Germany, and Russia on the European continent. These policies are not without their deficiencies, which should be kept in mind when preparing for the upcoming meeting in Munich and when drafting subsequent reports. Specifically, little or no attention has been paid to important global security concerns such as the continued deployment of the US missile-defense system in Europe; America’s tactical nuclear weapons, which are being systematically updated and continue to be stationed on the European continent; the need to prevent the weaponization of space – an issue that has yet to be resolved by contemporary international legislation; and the American strategy of “offensive nuclear deterrence,” which allows for a preemptive nuclear strike. For example, in regard to the massive and uncontrolled deployment of the multilayered US missile-defense system on and around the European continent, no concern is evident, either in the report or in the many statements by Western leaders, that in the coming years the number of interceptors that make up this “missile shield” will exceed the limits set by the Prague START Treaty (New START) for strategic offensive nuclear weapons. As a result, a situation might arise in which state “X” could launch a nuclear first strike against any “rogue state” and protect itself from retaliation with such a “shield.” Incidentally, the Pentagon and the US State Department simultaneously classify three of the five types of tactical nuclear bombs as “strategic weapons,” because they can be delivered to their targets not only using medium-range fighter aircraft, but also via strategic heavy bombers able to refuel in mid-air, giving them an intercontinental range of up to 18,000 km.

Plague Outbreaks Kills Dozen in Madagascar

PLAGUE OUTBREAK KILLS DOZENS IN MADAGASCAR (Source CNN) An outbreak of the plague has killed dozens in Madagascar, and experts fear those numbers could go up. At least 119 cases were confirmed by late last year, including 40 deaths, the World Health Organization said in a statement. And the disease is taking an alarming turn. “The outbreak that started last November has some disturbing dimensions,” the WHO said this week. “The fleas that transmit this ancient disease from rats to humans have developed resistance to the first-line insecticide.” It’s especially spreading in densely populated slums in the capital of Antananarivo. Cases were confirmed in at least 20 districts and the capital, Christophe Rogier of the Institute Pasteur de Madagascar said late last year. Rogier is part of a team working with the WHO on the ground to combat the disease.

Yet another headache for U.S. Oil Producers

Yet another headache for U.S. oil producers: Union officials are calling for a strike (money.cnn.com)

The United Steelworkers union asked union workers at nine U.S. refineries to stop working after a national contract covering dozens of oil facilities expired at midnight Sunday. Negotiations between the union and major producers, like Shell (RDSA) and ExxonMobil (XOM), are apparently stalled. The union said it had rejected the oil companies’ fifth offer. It wasn’t clear Sunday how long the strike would last or how deeply it would affect the U.S. energy industry, which has produced a glut of oil and is feeling the pressure of plunging prices that eat into profits. Shell and other oil producers have slashed spending because of the oil price slide. (Meanwhile, consumers are paying prices at the pump they haven’t seen in years.) Shell will “continue operations in the normal course of business” using a contingency plan, said spokesman Ray Fisher. He said Shell seeks “to resume negotiations as early as possible to get our employees back to work.” ExxonMobil spokesman Todd Spitler said his company “remains actively engaged in good faith negotiations with the union.”

Get Your Loved Ones Off Facebook

GET YOUR LOVED ONES OFF FACEBOOK (Source SAINTSAL) It’s not just what Facebook is saying it’ll take from you and do with your information, it’s all the things it’s not saying, and doing anyway because of the loopholes they create for themselves in their Terms of Service and how simply they go back on their word. We don’t even need to click “I agree” anymore. They just change the privacy policy and by staying on Facebook, you agree. Oopsy! Facebook doesn’t keep any of your data safe or anonymous, no matter how much you lock down your privacy settings. Those are all a decoy. There are very serious privacy breaches, like selling your product endorsement to advertisers and politicians, tracking everything you read on the internet, or using data from your friends to learn private things about you – they have no off switch. Facebooks gives your data to “third-parties” through your use of apps, and then say that’s you doing it, not them. Every time you use an app, you’re allowing Facebook to escape it’s own privacy policy with you and with your friends. It’s like when my brother used to make me punch myself and ask, “why are you punching yourself?” Then he’d tell my mum it wasn’t his fault.

The Council of Foreign Relations Mistakenly Proves the Largest Outbreaks

The Council of Foreign Relations Mistakenly Proves the Largest Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases Are Within the Most Highly Vaccinated Populations (Sources globalresearch.ca) An early 2014 report released by the Council of Foreign Relations to identify countries with the highest rates of disease outbreaks, accidently revealed that the most highly vaccinated populations are also those with the greatest number of outbreaks for those same infectious diseases.  This was especially the case for measles, mumps, rubella, polio and pertussis outbreaks.  The US, Canada, the European Union, Australia and New Zealand, and Japan—each with the highest number of mandated vaccines—led the list of nations. The Office of Medical and Scientific Justice, which analyzed the report, concluded that the Council’s report clearly suggests the theory of “herd immunity” is failing or was flawed to begin with.  Given the repeated incidences of infectious outbreaks in populations with 94% or more vaccine compliance, and the emergence of new viral strains, the concept of herd immunity should be forgotten. The Office offers several possibilities to explain the report: vaccines are increasingly becoming ineffective and causing “immune dysfunction,” and “vaccine antigen responses” may be reprogramming viruses while weakening the immune systems of the most vaccinated individuals. Predicting the particular influenza strains to protect populations has never been a fine art.  We might remember the doom and gloom scenarios spread by the WHO and CDC over the H1N1 swine flu in 2009. The federal agencies of warning for a viral apocalypse, which never occurred, had as much credibility as Y2K and New Age Mayan predictions at the turn of the millennium.  At their best, flu vaccines remain around 60% efficacy according to official health statistics. However, the World Health Organization’s predictions for this year’s flu strains were a bust. The match was such a failure that the CDC was forced to warn the American public that the 2014-2015 flu vaccine was only 23% effective, off by 77%.[5]  Given that the 2012-2013 flu season was only 27% effective for the 65 years-plus age group, it can be estimated that this year’s flu shot is near useless for the elderly. Predictive methodologies to determine which flu strains emerge during any given influenza season have more in common with primitive mathematical divination than sound science.

Pope Francis Nominated For 2015 Nobel Peace Prize

Pope Francis Nominated For 2015 Nobel Peace Prize (Source inquisitr) Pope Francis is among the nominees for the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize. According to Reuters, other nominees include a Catholic priest who helps African migrants, embattled NSA leaker Edward Snowden, and a Russian newspaper that is heavily critical of one of last year’s nominees, President Vladimir Putin.Although the Norwegian Nobel Institute refrains from publishing names of Peace Prize nominees, Norwegian experts take it upon themselves to compile lists. Pope Francis has been nominated for his focus on social justice and his concern for the environment, while Father Mussie Zerai, a Catholic priest of Eritrean descent has been nominated for the Peace Prize for his efforts to aid many of the thousands of African migrants who seek freedom by risking their lives to cross the Mediterranean.
