KKK, Black Panthers Clash at Confederate Flag Rally (Source newser.com) A crowd rallying for black power faced off against Klu Klux Klan members today outside the South Carolina Statehouse over the Confederate flag, NBC News reports. About 50 KKK members showed up waving the flags (with one bearing a Nazi symbol) after a 200-strong “Countering the Attack on Black Unity Rally.” The latter included people from Black Lawyers for Justice and Black Educators for Justice, a group from Florida that’s linked to the New Black Panther Party. The KKK members hurled racial slurs at the earlier group, who yelled back from barricades where they were placed near the Statehouse. Scuffles eventually broke out and police took two people away,WYFF4 reports.
